January is for Self Care

A new year has begun. Everywhere I look, fitness and health have replaced indulgences of the holiday months. A soak in a tub has a very important role as we race to reverse the impact of a harsh winter. Hippocrates advocated the use of salt or sea water to heal diseases of the skin. The use of Epsom salts has been known historically to relieve pain, inflammation, and ease sore muscles. Oatmeal has amazing health benefits as well. Fine ground grains (colloidal oatmeal) have a wealth of vitamins, lipids, and minerals that assist in adding moisture to skin. It is anti-inflammatory and has antioxidant properties, making it ideal for sensitive skin.

The bath salts at Azure Mountain Botanicals contain all of these for a restorative bath experience, as well as a therapeutic essential oil blend.

Forest Waters Bath Salt Soak is a soothing bath soak that combines Epsom salts and Dead Sea salts with Aloe, Calendula Extract, Spirulina, Colloidal Oatmeal, and essential oils of Fir, Clary Sage, and Ylang Yang to de stress and soothe an overworked body.

Sore Muscle Soak is a soothing bath salt soak that combines Epsom salts and Dead Sea salts with Aloe, Calendula Extract, Spirulina, and essential oils of Eucalyptus Black Pepper, and Lavender helps prevent stiffness and encourage circulatory stimulation.

Soothing Waters Bath Salt Soak is made with skin-loving ingredients like Calendula, Lavender, Aloe, and Colloidal Oatmeal, and essential oils of lavender, helichrysium, and ylang ylang.

January is a great time for self-improvement. Whether it be, diet, health, or new beginnings. Remember to include some soaking time in your regimen. Don’t have time or don’t have a tub? A foot soak is a nice alternative and an excellent way to begin the practice of self-care. Just 15-20 minutes will help relieve stress, anxiety. Just a few minutes will leave you feeling refreshed and your feet will thank you!
